A ray of good news - sustainability report highlights eco-friendly efforts
Dutch plastics, chemicals and refining company LyondellBasell has launched its 2020 sustainability report that highlights its efforts for ending plastic waste in the environment.

The report also mentions the company's progress towards achieving its plan to produce and market two million metric tons of recycled and renewable-based polymers by 2030.

LyondellBasell has also obtained the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) organisation's ISCC Plus certification for its cracker in Wesseling, Germany and European polymer production assets. With this certification, LyondellBasell can provide mass balance certificates for its advanced or molecular recycled and renewable-based polymers, said the report.

LyondellBasell has also made investments in the communities where the company operates through more than 900 grants to local charitable organisations; supporting the needs of food banks in 17 countries through special grants and 6,000 employee volunteer hours through its annual Global Care Day programme, the report added.
